Realistische, zeer persoonlijke portretbeelden in brons

Als geboren en getogen Hilversummer woon ik sinds 2005, samen met mijn partner in ELP, (Midden Drenthe). Van oorsprong ben ik hoboïst. Op 49 jarige leeftijd gegon ik met het boetseren.
Bij 40 beeldhouwdocenten heb ik mij het vak eigen gemaakt en sinds 1998 werk ik zelfstandig. Mijn specialiteit is realistische, perfect propotionele realistische fijn-beeldbouwer, zeer persoonlijke portretten (met inhoud) in brons.
Ik werk zals zoals Spinoza het formuleerde, Atributen of zijnen - denken of rede - waarneming in waarheid. Met een fotografisch geheugen en dislecties ruimtelijk denk,j zijn details met het geheel belangrijk.
Dit is een authentiek vakgebied, waar geen opleiding voor is. Volgens mij ben ik één van de heel weinige die op deze wijze werk.

I was born and raised in centrally located Hilversum. In 2005, my partner and I moved to the rural setting of Elp (Midden-Drenthe), where we have been living since.
Though I officially trained as an oboist, I started sculpting at the age of 49.
I studied with a large number of art teachers and have been working as independent artist since 1998. As a fine art sculptor I specialize in realistic and very personal portraits in clay.
I have a very keen eye for detail. With a lot of practice I've mastered the art of accurately absorbing the proportions of figures. Because of my photographic memory and firm grasp of three-dimensional thinking I am able to transfigure clay accordingly, down to the smallest details.
The way I sculpt my portraits is very authentic. There is no formal training available for this method, and I think I am one of just a handful of sculptors working like that.
Personally, I attribute this to the fact that I received formal music training from a very early age.
